Congrats, I feel your pain as I am in a similar situation since I was made power of attorney for my mother in law after her son past away 2 years ago. We had to bring her home with us till I could get her finances straighten out but now she is in a Alzheimer unit.  But wife and I still take short trips with out fiver till we can break away.

    But…[Read more]

  • Sorry to hear about the communication screw up but glad to hear that the fixes were simpler than thought.

    Happy Trails

  • Thanks Ray, Another great video. The HoKena emergency lights really looks like a great deal and a lot safer than the old flares.

  • Feathered or plastic tuxedo? Sorry, couldn’t resist  :yahoo:

  • I’ll put in a plug for Eddie & Aileen. Eddie travels the country installing the solar units for people and has a lot of knowledge on the subject. I have learned a lot about installation just from his videos that he is in. I am sure he would help you decide on what would be best for your needs if you ask.

  • I measured my batteries and then picked up a super heavy plastic storage box with lid from our local Menards (Big Box Home Improvement Store) then mounted it temporarily then marked where I needed to drill and mount a pipe for air to escape through the bottom and added another to the lid for connecting the air intake. Works like a charm and only…[Read more]

  • It is a good if you take a picture of every connection before disassembly so you have a picture to reference when putting back together. at least that is what I do so it makes it faster to get back together.

  • Another business that has these washer dryer combos plus individual washers and dryers that can be stacked is https://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/rv-appliances/washers-dryers/rv-washers-and-dryers. Calling is free to get questions answered if they can help you.  I have found them less on parts compared to other RV parts dealers. Me? I play the c…[Read more]

  • Now I can’t remember but I did go and look at the Outdoors RV 5th wheels online and think I seen a couple that were about 38 feet in length. But can see why you really like them. Even I looked to see where I could go and see one for real. But Colorado is the closest to me here in Iowa. But if i was to purchase a new one I do believe I would travel…[Read more]

  • I’ve seen some people use the Blue Tooth thermometer that can be purchased in the Big Box stores. Have not tried them myself yet.

  • Listen to Eddie. If you get a chance look him up on YouTube. You will not regret it and may answer many of your questions on Solar. I found him through Ray and have configured mine through what I seen in videos he has been in. He explains things real well.

  • Sure will miss all the adventures and the seemingly long dry spell while you, Anne and Angie summer in Vancouver Island. Here is hoping for a safe, warm summer and more adventures there. Sure did love all the great videos again.

  • I’ve said it before and I will say it again, Ahh shucks, now we have to go through a dry spell of the places and videos of winter escape from Canada. Sure hope you and Anne along with Angie keep giving us poor souls some crumbs during the summer. Thanks for all the adventures Ray. Keep them coming for years to come.

  • Sure going to miss all the reports again Ray. Hope your summer is great again this year. Please keep us informed of your adventures. Even my “babies” (mini dachshunds) love watching the videos that include Angie. LOL Thanks for another winter trip videos in case I miss your next ones.

  • Happy to hear that they found the issue. I agree that it must have had a loose circuit even just a touch. One thing to learn is to check all the screws and wires on sockets, junction boxes and outlets to make sure they are tight. Thanks for letting us know. I will pull all of mine and check everything so hopefully can fix anything before a issue…[Read more]

  • I purchased a AIMS Power 1200 Watt Pure Sine Inverter with Automatic Transfer Switch because it has a auto change switch so if I plugged in the electrical cord it would automatically bypass the 12 volts and switch off the inverter. So far it has worked great and has never given me any problems. There are many different good brands available, just…[Read more]

  • One thing we do is help each other when we can. We may not have all the answers but we do bounce ideas off each other and hopefully help each other fix issues that comes up.  Hopefully you will find the answer to your issue and get it fixed. Bet you will. Sometimes what should be the easiest fix is so darn hard.

  • OK, going to throw something out here and may seem off the wall. Two things come to mind, One: Extension cord to long causing low amps so when trying anything that takes lots of amps causes breaker to kick, Two: How about power converter shorting out. That would also cause a breaker to fail. The way to find out if converter would be to disconnect…[Read more]
