    Interesting idea!  I’ve lived in Alabama almost all my life.  The mosquitoes may as well be the state bird!

    And as for the bleach comment, I grew up on a farm.  When you drove the tractor over a yellowjacket nest, you’d know it.  We always kept a small bottle of bleach in the tool kit for daubing on the stings.  Works!

    You folks need to try a favorite of mine — it’s called “geocaching.”  Basically a high-tech Easter egg hunt, looking for hidden containers.  You put them back where you found them so the next person can find it.

    Look up http://www.geocaching.com — it’s free to play, free to sign up, but it’s far, far easier if you just download the app on your smartphone and use the built-in GPS.

     

    It’ll take you places (some in your own backyard) that you never knew existed.
