ParticipantBest pot we have in the house, soups, broth, rice, beans and meat. No fuss just put in the ingredients, set the timer and walk away. Best pressure cooker we have owned, always worried about the manual pressure cooker, watching the heat level.

ParticipantWhat a great place to visit and camp. We parked our trailer outside of town and visited around your area. We actually paddled our kayaks behind your park and really enjoyed the area.

ParticipantCheck out the ratings of RV’s on consumer sites that rate RV’s by customers. We had a Nash by Northwood Manufacturing, which makes Arctic Fox, for 10 years with no problems. Got a 2014 Nash and had nothing but problems with the slideout and other issues. Broke a spring after one year and the others were bent. The original owner had medical issues and others took over the company and the quality of the product has decreased. Only a one year warranty. Just our thoughts.

ParticipantGreat Job Ray, I cut wood strips that go in front of my wife’s cabinet shelf’s that she puts in when we are traveling so when we get to our destination and she opens the door the items do not fall out. Then once there she takes the strips out and stores them on top of the cabinet. Jim

ParticipantThought about tire pressure sensors after we had a blow out but have not done that yet. Did replace all four original tires with a higher load rating, 2014 trailer. This will be our first run with the new tires. Wish us luck.

ParticipantWe went there when we visited the island and loved the park. So quiet, nobody around except for the mine at the end of the road. It was so quiet that I had left my tripod at a turnout and went back the next day and found it right where I had left it. So many beautiful places to see there and on the island. Thanks for the video visit. Jim

ParticipantThanks Ray, I checked further and the side of the room is bowed in the 1/4 on the bottom half of the slide out room so I believe that this if why it is not touching. It is the wiper seal that is not touching. I do not know if there is rubber strips that I can add over the wiper seal to extend it slightly. I believe the wiper seal is there to wipe off rain from coming inside when the room is retracted but it still makes me nervous. thanks for the reply. Jim

ParticipantWe use Google maps for navigating but sometimes google gets it wrong. Check online the directions to your RV park before you get there. We were sent down a small residential street in Eureka California and ran into a dead in. Tried to turn around and all I did was bend the cowling on the bottom of the trailer. A man appeared and helped me back up to miss a mail box and said that we were not the first to get stuck on the street. Went to a nice man and was able ( with his help) to make a Y turn with the trailer and get back to where we wanted to go. Jim

ParticipantGreat job, looks like you put a lot of work into the project and should be proud of the results. Jim

ParticipantTerry, thanks for the information-good tip about the foam board. Still damp under the trap but no water comes out from under the trailer. Going on a month long trip and will use the heater a lot so hope that it dries things out. Frustrating to find this type of problem but comforting knowing that I am not alone. To take the plastic cardboard off the under side I would have to take the entire piece that covers all holding tanks and work around gas lines on both side, not ready to tackle that yet. thanks again for you thoughts and experiences. Jim

ParticipantJames, thanks for the information. Not much room to work with so I went and got a new compression gasket and put it back together. Will have to remember the thread sealant. Thanks again, hate having things go wrong just before a month long trip. Jim
