ParticipantRay Idon’t know if this box could tilt very much, it touches front at the bootom and is only 2 1/2″ on back. I just thought of something that would help take compartment door off that would make more room in opening and also give you a place to put your head when close to dropping batteries in box. The door slants down from where it latches open. You loose 2 or 3 inches of head room with door above head. Clear as mud I know.

ParticipantHi All; Thanks for the feed back. My back is fine. I thought for a while I might of screwed it up for good. To old to keep doing stupid stuff like that. I got the handle for batteries and the loop it creates is to long to help get batteries in compartment. The batteries are to tall for opening, without plastic box no problem getting them in compartment. I think an extension on a forklift tong would be the way to go. I hope the young guy they get to change them next time thinks of that. Ha Ha

ParticipantMaybe you could find a decal of the color you need and cut small strips to fill in cracks. I did this with a welded aluminum boat with stripping damage. I used some lettering I didn’t use at time boat was purchased.
