    Blog Post – http://www.loveyourrv.com/installing-tadibrothers-wireless-rv-backup-camera-system/

In this video, I unbox and install a new wireless RV Backup Camera for our fifth wheel trailer from TadiBrothers.com.

I show you the camera and 7-inch display unit plus all the electrical hookups and mounting options.

I install the wireless camera on the rear of the fifth wheel and hook the power cable inside finding a 12-volt source behind the fifth wheels accessory control panel.

The display gets mounted on the dash and wired into the vehicle’s 12-volt circuit via the lighting system.

In a few weeks, after using the system I’ll publish a full review video. Stay tuned…

Nice work Ray,bought a Taddi wireless last November, the word wireless sounds like it should be easy to install, but wasn’t. Had about triple the wires as yours does. Has 2 antennas on inside, mess of wires even though its wireless. I have the 2 camera head ,one points at hitch the other the road. Use it on truck camper, like it for pulling boat. Had someone help with my install.

Here is my review post for the rear wireless camera – http://www.loveyourrv.com/reviewing-tadibrothers-rv-backup-camera/

In this video, I review the TadiBrothers Wireless RV Backup Camera System. I go through the pros and cons of the system as I see them after several weeks of use, then demonstrate the wireless range.

Ray , I wished that I could say I had a similar experience with Tadi Bros, but not . Bought their wireless camera to pair with  my Rand McNally RVND 7730 . I mocked up the instillation but could not get a good signal to my truck . The camera that they sold me was  not a true wireless as yours is built into the camera  but one they sold me you have to add a antenna which is a separate item that also needs power  the same with the Rand McNally it needed a separate antenna to  pair with their camera. You can imagine it gets convoluted with wires.  When I called to report the  reception problem, they sent me extended antenna, which did not improve the reception.

Bottom line I thought when they sold me the camera it would look like yours  with the antenna attached, in that case it might have worked . Today its sits in a closet with unfulfilled exceptions.

Wow, Lawrence, that does sound like an overly complex affair. I had heard and read wireless was kinda flakey with these, but it was free to me other than UPS border fee (40 bucks) so thought I’d giver a go, maybe they have figured it out.

I know this one uses 2.4 Ghz like the old cordless phones and routers used.  I read some of the old wireless cameras used Bluetooth so range was limited.

Did you ask about the 30-day money back guarantee? Or did they not have it at that time?

At the time my goal was to get it installed , BTW it took over three months to get my camera . They tried shipping it to me and I tracked it to New York (why there when we live in BC), where it was refused entry into Canada , TWICE . Then because we where going to the Seattle , I gave them that address and received the camera down there.. What a gong show eh!! :  :Crying2: Yes the whole purchase was what you would call an exercise in futility. At that point I was done with Tadi Bros.  Glad that yours worked out, can I borrow your horseshoe ?

My apprehension about drilling multiple holes in my trailer is that it is an Airstream and did not want it to look like Swiss cheese when i was done . If it came like yours with the one lead into the trailer and the WI-fi arial on the camera it would have meant just drilling appropriate one hole .

Wow! What a mess to install. If they offered something like that I would have declined it for sure. Way too convoluted, would have been easier to have a hard wired unit.

I get a bunch of product offered for review and about 3/4s of them change their mind when I say it needs to ship to Canada. And many are big companies. It’s actually easier to get shipments in from China than right next door in the USA, crazy!

Shopping online for me now is Amazon.ca only , or if the Canack buck was better  Amazon.com. Never a problem.  Cheers Ray.
