This video contains sped up dashcam footage of traveling the 17 mile Valley of the Gods loop drive east to west. The area is located in southern Utah near the more famous Monument Valley.

Nothing exciting but may be helpful for those wanting to get a look at the terrain and road through the place before venturing in. We drove it in our 20 foot almost 8 foot wide 2WD F350 dually truck.

The road is a little rough, narrow and curvy but the scenery is spectacular. The land is BLM and has many spots to pull over and camp in. Access and camping are free. https://www.blm.gov/style/medialib/blm/ut/monticello_fo/recreation/recreation_brochures0.Par.95131.File.dat/VoGbrochure.pdf

Watch the weather as during wet times the washes may flood, and the dirt can get muddy.

Long RVs and folks towing trailers need to beware of many steep, sharp dips through dry washes especially coming in from the west entrance off Highway 261. Towards the middle sections, the road is quite narrow with tight curves.

Off Highway 163 to the east has some larger RV accessible campsites and less drastic dips. We were able to tow our 30-foot fifth wheel in 4 1/2 miles coming from that direction.
