We have been using Shaw since hitting the road in 2010 and get reception from Alaska to the the southern USA. At that time Bell would cut you off if they found out you were in the USA. When we signed up we told them we were fulltimers in an RV so they required the VIN # on our trailer. My understanding now is Shaw has changed things…they want to charge the full rate for your main domicile and an additional 50% for your cabin or RV. I used to contact Shaw when we were in different time zones to change the clock on my receiver but not anymore. I don’t want to take the chance that they’ll cut us off or charge us more.
Shaw launched a new satellite for HD channels in 2013 and requires the newer receiver. This system only has a foot print in Canada so if you want reception in the USA you’ll have to see if the older receivers are still available.
Cheers!
