Hi All! Went shopping today, started to gather the equipment for my solar / dry camping power system. I have upgraded the battery bank to 450Ahr and installed a monitoring system. Today I picked up a Samlex EVO3012 Inverter / Charger / transfer switch and the matching remote as well as my new solar panels. I went with 3 170W panels, they are monsters but I should not need to add any more to this array in the future. Gathering the bits such as breakers, wires, connectors, and the like is a bit of a time consuming scavenger hunt………

    JJ,

170 watts per panel! I both admire and appreciate your greed ๐Ÿ™‚ If you’re taking up valuable real estate, why not max it out.

Well, I could fit another 2 of these on the roof with no problem but at that point I would have to add 2 more batteries for sure…. Can’t imagine needing that much power….. I figure with this system I can supply 30A service to my RV as long as the sun shines….. on those rainy days its back to the Honda……
