Lately, I’ve had more than a few folks ask “How much does your winter snowbird trip cost?” With that in mind, I decided to keep track of our expenses during the most recent 2015/2016 snowbird season. – http://www.loveyourrv.com/much-cost-rv-snowbirds/

Informative read, good breakdown! Just one question on the propane, what was your average cost to fill a 30 lb tank? $350 isn’t bad for 5-6 months heat, hot water and cooking.

    Thanks!

For most of the trip, we were filling at an average of $1.99 a gallon which is about $15 USD for one of our 30 lbs tanks. We averaged using about 1 tank a week. More when really cold out and less when it was warmer.

December and most of January were cooler than normal but much of February and March  were so warm we barely had to run the furnace.

Also, when we are on hookups we run electric heaters and use electric for the fridge and water heater. that added up to almost 2 months.
