I recently visited “Hoover Dam”. I found it to be very interesting. I took the grand kids up with me. They also found it interesting. It cost $10.00 to park. Their was free parking on the Arizona side, but very limited. I would not take your RV to the dam. Narrow roads and limited parking. Their was two class C RV’s that did park on the Arizona side. The cost of the tour was $15.00 for adults and $12.00 for 12 years & under. You can check it all out at this website.  http://www.usbr.gov/lc/hooverdam/service/DamTour.html

I left the RV at my site and drove their with my truck. Hope this will help if any one is going to the Hoover Dam.

Yea if your near Vegas, the dam tour is a must. Our dam guide was one of the best. He give us a heck of a dam tour. There two different dam tours, one is a little more than the other dam tour. The more expensive goes down in the dam where you can peak out through  the luvors and walk all back through the dam interior then ride the dam elevator up and come out on top of the dam right near the state line.

Sounds like a cool tour for sure but I just watched the movie San Andreas a few nights ago,so thinking I might wait awhile, lol.

Years ago I used to cut up to Vegas with my big truck and reefer trailer from Arizona and cross the dam. This was long before 911 or the new bridge. There used to be a small deli place on the Arizona side with limited parking and at night I would pull in there and and check my brakes and take in the view prior to slowly,,,,,,,,,,,,very slowly hauling that 80K pounds down that winding grade and back up the other side.

    Don’t miss that. B-)
