Hi folks, just finished the final wiring for my battery bank and thought I would post a few pictures. Notice the double runs of AWG #2 wire going to the main fuse on the DC side, its setup for 500A as the inverter going in is a monster….. Next project is to wire in the MPPT charge controller and install those ginormous panels…..

    Hey JJ

What kind of Capacity of Amp hours? How many watts of Solar ? Invert rating ?

I have 420 AH  400 W solar 1000 W Pure sign Inverter, 30 A PWM controller.  I was thinking about increasing my Inverter to 2000 to be able to run a Coffee maker or Micro for a short time.

You will love the Free power !

Hi David, thanks for taking the time to drop a note. I will continue to post a few pics and updates as the project goes along. On Wed I am installing the panels on the roof, not sure how much more I will accomplish but plan to peck away at it for a couple days this week. I am sure to enjoy the free power for sure. When designing the system one thing my research showed is that most folks start out a little on the modest side and then a few years later their into a upgrade. My plan was just to do this once, we will see how that works out a few years down the road. Your setup looks good, nice and tidy, I like that.

I see your from Texas, we plan to spend a month there next winter. Can’t remember the name of the RV park now but it’s just west of San Antonio I think.
